About

This CD is Part I of two albums that constitute the rock musical RingLord. There are 12 songs on the disc (and one hidden track). The album was engineered and produced by Greg Tschernez; it was arranged by Darryl Grant Potter and Greg Tschernez; artwork and graphic design were by Natalie Camilleri. Lyrics were by Darryl Grant Potter; music was by Darryl Grant Potter and Michael Bohl.

RingLord

RingLord was originally conceived by Soundestiny as a rock musical inspired by The Lord of the Rings. The songs themselves contain no references to Tolkien character-names or place-names. As the project consisted of 25 songs in total, the band decided to divide the tracks into two separate album releases. Shadow Rising (RingLord Part I) was released in 2004. However, a period of six years elapsed before Soundestiny released the follow-up Winds of Change (RingLord Part II) in 2010, recorded at Rigidigital Studios.

  • Soundestiny members dressed up in medieval / fantasy costumes and recorded a music video for one of the tracks (See the Light) from their album Shadow Rising. You can watch them performing this track here.
