Oracular Spectacular was released on January 22, 2008 under Red Ink records. The album hit no.38 on the U.S. Chart and no.6 on the Australian Chart. It was named as the best album of 2008 by NME. The first single in the album "Time to Pretend" reached no.35 on the U.K. chart. The second single "Electric Feel" became MGMT's first Australian ARIA top 50 hit and was named no.5 on NME's list of the Best Singles of 2008. The third single "Kids" was featured in the Quicksilver and Red Bull movie from 2008 and became no.1 on the Norwegian Singles Chart.
