Zooropa was released on July 6, 1993 under Island records. The album became no.1 in several countries like Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, United Kingdom and in United States. The song "Lemon" ranked no.18 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks and no.1 on the US Hot Dance Music/Club chart. Another track in the album "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)" hit no.8 on the Mainstream Rock chart. It was also used by Craig Armstrong on his album As If to Nothing. The song "The First Time" was used in the soundtrack of the The Million Dollar Hotel movie.
