About
Punk rap band the Zebrahead began on 1996 in Orange County, CA. Justin Mauriello (vocals/ guitar), Greg Bergdorf (guitar), Ben Osmundson (bass) annd Ed Udhus (drums) consisted the band. They began playing as a ska-punk band but later on experimented to incorporate hip-hop into their singles. Later, Ali Tabatabaee joined the band. Columbia records was impressed of the fresh Zebrahead that they offered them a contract. In 1998, the band released their debut album, Waste Of Mind. It was soon followed by Playmate of the Year in 2000. Zebrahead went on an extensive tour in Europe with Green Day. They also played gigs with other bands like 311, Less Than Jake, Goldfinger and Reel Big Fish. In 2003, they released MFZB short for Motherf*cking Zebrahead B*tch. After the release of the album Mauriello left the band. Matty Lewis filled in his shoes. In 2006, Broadcast to the World was issued. It achieved a gold status in Japan.

- Zebrahead's version of the Sonic Song "His World" will appear on "True Blue: The Best Of Sonic The Hedgehog" compilation CD which is set to hit Japan on January 23, 2008.

- One of the group member Justin Mauriello is a former member of the band who left to form another band called I Hate Kate.
- Because of Zebrahead's popularity in Japan, vocalists Matty Lewis and Ali Tabatabaee were asked by SEGA to record vocals for a new theme song, entitled "His World", which appeared in the game Sonic The Hedgehog for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
