Young Jeezy is an American Hip-Hop rapper. He was a member of the rap group Boyz N Da Hood. He was known for his scratchy voice and his phrase "Let's get it!" in most of his songs.

Rapper Young Jeezy (Jay Jenkins) was born on September 28, 1980 in Columbia, South Carolina but was raised in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Young Jeezy signed in with Def Jam records and became part of a hip-hop group Boyz N Da Hood. At that time he was called Snowman since he used to be a drug dealer and "snow" was the street name of cocaine. Jeezy also started a line of snowman tee-shirts. The rapper has also been affiliated with a criminal crew known as Omega. The crew is presently under investigation by the FBI. Jeezy remains in the crew but is not under investigation.
In 2005, Boyz N Da Hood released a self-titled debut album. It entered the Billboard album charts and topped at #5. Later that year, Young Jeezy released his solo-debut album, Let's Get it: Thug Motivation 101, selling over 172,000 copies during its first weak. It also peaked at #2 on the charts. Young Jeezy said in most of his interviews that he resisted to commercialism so that his street quality would remain in his music. The rapper has been working with other co-artists in his single "And Then What" with Mannie Fresh, "Soul Survivor" Akon and ]]Gucci Mane]]'s "So Icy".

If you want pure and simpe rap, Young Jeezy is the best. Unlike those other rappers out there who are becoming more and more like dance music, his beats are always on point and what he raps about are not crap.
