Welcome Back was released on August 24, 2004 under Bad Boy Records. The album did not have explicit lyrics. Welcome Back is the come back album of Mase after a five year absence in the music industry. The album is not successful compared to the past albums of Mase. It's first hit single is "Welcome Back" which topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Sales chart. The single was Certified Gold. The second single in the album "Breathe, Stretch, Shake" was also Certified Gold.
