About
Singer/ songwriter Vivian Green was born on 1979 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her mother who kept on singing jazz songs to Vivian influenced her. At a young age, Vivian started singing along with the piano. When she was just 5 year old, Vivian sang and did a little dance on stage at the church. At 13 years old, she was involved in an all female group called Younique. Later, she took music seriously and started giving out her demos and compositions. But before she got her big break, Vivian would perform night after night at clubs performing infront hundreds of people.
When Vivian was only 17 years old, she wrote for Boyz 2 Men and Britney Spears. Two years later, she did back up for Jill Scott. In 2001, Vivian signed in with Columbia Records. The following year, her debut album, A Love Story, was issued with the hit single "Emotional Rollercoaster". The hit came from her personal experience (she was having a tough time with her boyfriend). Three years later, her follow-up album, Vivian, with the single "Gotta Go, Gotta Leave (Tired)".
