Vertical Horizon is a rock band from Georgetown University. The members of the group are Keith Kane, Matt Scannell, Ed Toth and Sean Hurley.

About

In 1991, an acoustic jam band was formed, it was called Vertical Horizon. Matt Scannell and Keith Kane both graduated from Georgetown University. In 1992, they released their debut single LP There and Back Again. From then on they started touring. In 1995, the duo released their second album Running on Ice. Carter Beauford from the Dave Mathew's Band played drums in one of their songs. A year later they added a bassist, Sean Hurley, and a drummer, Ed Toth. In 1997, Live Stages was produced. In 1999, under RCA Records the band released their formal debut-album, Everything You Want. It instantly went daouble platinum. The single "You're a God" was played on radio station all over the world. It was also included in the soundtrack in the film, Bruce Almighty. The band was busy playing in North America and Europe after that. Sooner of later, they recorded their fourth album, Go. It was released on 2003.
