Velvet Revolver was formed in 2002 by former Guns N Roses members namely, "Slash" on guitar, "Duff McKagan" on bass and "Matt Sorum" on drums. In 2003, they signed a recording contract under RCA Records. Their debut album, Contraband was released in 2004 which became a big hit. The album features the singles, "Slither" which chartered at #1 on Both Mainstream Rock Tracks and Modern Rock Tracks and "Dirty Little Thing" which landed at #8 on Mainstream Rock Tracks. Their second album, Libertad was issued in 2007. The album features the singles, "She Builds Quick Machines".
