About
Born Tyler James Hilton or Simply Tyler Hilton was born on November 22, 1983 in Palm Springs, California and was raised in Bermuda, Dumes, California. At an early age, he already began teaching himself, Elvis Presley songs. After staying a short brief in California, his family returned back to the Palm Springs Area. From there, he composed his first song about a girl in his school. His family moved to Coadella Valley, California where Tyler attended High School at La Quinta. Tyler formed a band with his classmates but it didn't go anywhere so he decided to join open mic nights and went to local coffee shops to perform his own music. At the age of 17, Tyler wrote, recorded and released an eponymous debut and started to shop it, but it was a change of oppurtunity that brought his telent to the record executive attention.
In 2000, Tyler heard on a local radio station that Jonny Lang concert tickets was be giving away and so he called up Mark and Brian radio show, while speaking on them at the phone, the two announcer ask an impromptu performance from Tyler, he sang a capella version of Jonny's song, "Breaking Me". The two DJ's were impressed and so they landed Tyler a spot at the station's Christmas concert.
Maverick Records heard his voice and immediately signed him up. His debut album, The Tracks of Tyler Hilton was released on September 2004. He also appeared in the soundtrack albums of One Tree Hill. He is reportedly working on his second album.
