Born with a husky voiced, this crossover-friendly diva, Trisha Yearwood rose to fame as a back up vocalist of Garth Brooks but soon became an instant star when her first single, "She's In Love With The Boy" went on top of the Billboard charts.

Trisha Yearwod was born on September 19, 1969 in Montcello, Georgia and was raised on a farm owned by her father, who also worked as a prominent banker.

While in school, Trisha had sang in musical productions, joined choral groups and talent shows. She studied in University of Georgia, but transferred at Belmont College in Nashville to a Music Business Program.

Yearwood served an internship with MTM Records and soon became an in demand demo singer. As a result, Garth Brooks hired her as his backup vocalist. Trisha appeared on Brook's first and second album No Fences and in 1990, Trisha signed a recording contract with MCA.

Trisha's self-titled debut album was released in 1991, and her first single, She's In Love with The Boy went on topped of all billboard charts, making her an instant star. Three more singles from her album "Like We Never Had a Broken Heart" which was written by Brooks, "That's What I Like About You" and "The Woman Before Me" all went on top ten Country Charts.

Trisha appeared as Brook's opening act in his concert tours gaining her more exposure. Trisha became the first female Country singer who had sold more than two million copies of her debut album.

Her next album, Hearts in Armor which was released in 1992, and her singles, "Wrong Side of Memphis" and "Walkaway Joe" which she had a duet with Don Henley, reached the top five of Country Charts.

The title track of her next album, The Song Remember When went number two on billboard charts, and she followed it with her first Christmas Album, The Sweetest Gift, released in 1994. In that same year, she married Robert Reynolds, bassist of Mavericks.

In 1995, Trisha's fourth album Thinkin' About You, was another big hit, which featured the singles, "An American Girl" and "I Wanna Go Too Far" making it on the top ten of Country Charts. This album found her music hinting more at Adult Contemporary Country Pop, a trend that continued on her 1996 released album, Everybody Knows. Trisha's single "Believe Me Baby" also hit the top of the charts.

In 1997, Yearwood released her first Compilation Album, A Collection of Hits which was a big hit and put the album on top of the Country Charts. She also released the single "How Do I Live" for the soundtrack of the movie, Con Air and it was nominated in the Academy Awards for "Best Theme Song",it also reached number two on Country Charts. Two of her new singles, "In Another's Eyes" which she sang with Brooks, and the number two hit "Perfect Love" climbed up to the Country Charts. Yearwood received her awards from the CMA and ACM in 1997 and 1998 as "Best Female Vocalist", and she also won her First Grammy Awards for "How Do I Live".

As a big-husky voiced, crossover-friendly diva, Trisha released her next album, Where Your Road Leads in 1998, which Tony Brown produced. Her singles, "There Goes My Baby" "The Powerful Thing" and "I'll Still Love You More" all went to the topped of the Charts. Also in that year, Trisha made her first acting career as she had portrayed a role on CBS Military Drama, JAG. Unfortunately, her marriage was again a failure.

In 2000, she released another album, Real Live Woman was a more personal outing that reflected some of her heartbreaks and turmoils. It went well but it did not produce any major hit singles. Yearwood released another album, Inside Out in 2001, and topped the Country Charts again, Her single, "I Would've Loved You Anyway" was also a hit. Her album, Jasper County was released in 2005.
