About

Tracy Chapman's debut album combines a 1970's folk foundation with simple yet meaningful lyrics which made her an immediate success that continued well into the 1990's. She became a part of the political correctness where she expressed her views through this album. She exploded in the music scene with her chart topping single Fast Car after performing in a tribute concert for Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday. Other chart topping hits off this album are: Baby Can I Hold You and Talkin Bout A Revolution.
