Traces Of My Lipstick was released on May 12, 1998 under So So Def Recordings. The album peaked no.28 on the Billboard 200 and no.6 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The first single in the album is "My Little Secret" which reached no.2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks. The second single "The Arms Of The One Who Loves You" topped no.4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. The third single "Softest Place On Earth" which was written by the R&B singer Joe hit no.28 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks. Other guest in the album are Daryl Simmons, Babyface, Keith Sweat, Joe, and Diane Warren.
