Tina Arena at an early age, already making a name at the entertainment industry. She appeared on national Australian Television show on the weekly TV show "Young Talent Time Show". Tina was tagged as Australia's Highest selling female artist, which her single, "I Need Your Body" was the highest single in 1989.

Philipina Arena better known as Tina Arena was born on November 1, 1967 to Franca and Giuseppe Arena in Moonee Pons, Melbourne, Australia. Tina was inspired by her sisters who recorded the song "You're My World". Tina learned the words off by heart which she sang the song at her relatives wedding which brought the house down. Her family realized that she has a gift of talent and let her took a voice lesson. At the age of 7, Tina compete on an Australian show, "Young Talent Time" and performed as a contestant 4 times and winning 3 heats.
Tina became the favorite of the audienced of "Young Talent Time", so Tina was given the best work experienced at an early age, she performed live every week. At the age of 16, when her schooling was suffering, it was time for her to leave the show and gave her final performance singing "The Way We Were". After that, she went back to school to have a normal life and work as an Insurance Clerk.
Because of Tina's loved for music, she returned back to the industry and released her single, "Turn Up The Beat" but there was no follow up album. The next few years, she supported Lionel Richie's tour.
In 1987, Tina played the role as "Renata" in a production "Nine-The Musical", and had one solo song. Tina suffered rejection from every major company in Australia but a small record company, "Avenue Records" teamed up with EMI saw Tina Arena's potential and gave her a recording contract.
In the late 1989, her much awaited debut album, Strong As Steel was released and her single, "I Need Your Body" was one of the highest selling single in 1990, the song reached the number 3 spot and her album went gold. Strong As Steel peaked at number 22 on the ARIA Charts. Couple more singles were released from the album but it was not a big hit.
In 1992, she signed a recording contract with Sony Music and a Management Contract with Ralph Carr. In 1993, Tina appeared as Narrator in the Australian hit musical, "Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat". With the money she earned and save, she went to United States to write more songs for her first album under Sony Music. Before the released of her album, Don't Ask under the said label, her manager, Ralph, decided to released the single, "Chains" and became an instant hit, making it into number four in Australia. Her album, Don't Ask was released in the late 1994 and went platinum within a few weeks. In 1995, she released her second single, "Sorrento Moon" which also hit the charts and the single, "Heaven Help My Heart" also became a smash hit.
In 1995, another dreamed came true, Tina was asked to performed Waltzing Matilda and Advanced Australia Fair in front of gazillions of people worldwide. She also started her National Tour. During the Concert Tour, her single, "Wasn't It Good" was released including 3 live tracks from the tour. She also married her manager, Ralph Carr. Also during that year, Tina was announced as Australia's highest selling female artist and her album, Don't Ask was the highest selling in the late 1995 and early 1996.
After the huge successed of her Don't Ask in Australia, it was her time to venture in overseas market. Her single, "Chains" reached the U.S. Top 40. In 1997, her next album, In Deep became an instant hit in the United States and she was the first Australian female artist to debut at the top of the charts.
In 1999, Tina hit the market in France and the break up with her husband/manager. On the year 2001, her album. Soulmate #9 was released. Unfortunately, it did not make it into the charts. However, her next album, Just Me reached the number 7 spot in the ARIA Charts and number 47 in the French Charts.
