Thrice was formed in 1998 at Irvine, California by, "Dustin Kensrue" on vocals and "Teppei Teranishi" on guitar. The two were very good friend since high school. Teppei added his friend, "Eddie Breckenridge" on bass, Eddie recruited his brother "Riley" also to join the line up.
Their first EP, First Impressions was issued in 1999. Their first studio album, The Illusion of Safety was released in 2001. The album landed at #22 on Top Internet Albums Chart. Their next album, The Artist in The Ambulance was issued in 2003. It features the single, "Stare At The Sun." In October 2005, their next album, Vheissu was released and features the single, "Image of The Invisible".
Their next album, The Alchemy Index Vols. I and II was issued on October 2007. The album debuted at #24 on The Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Last April 2008, their album, The Alchemy Index, Vols. III and IV was released.
