Raven Symone broke into the industry first as a child actress. She was the daughter of Bill Cosby in The Cosby Show. As time goes by, she was cast as the lead role in the Disney Channel Series That's So Raven.

This is My Time is the third album of Raven Symone under Hollywood Records. It was released on September 21, 2004. The album debuted at number 51 on Billboard 200. It is Raven's best selling album.

The album contained 12 track of songs. It featured R&B flavors and pop rock songs like Back Flip, Bump and Grazing in the Grass which featured on the soundtrack of the Disney Movie Lion King 1 1/2. The title track This is My Time was included on the soundtrack of Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. The album has sold 500,000 copies in the U.S. and a certified gold.
