About
The Velvet Underground was formed in 1964 by Lou Reed, Lou worked in Pickwick Records as a songwriter. He met John Cale who had worked with popular composer such as John Cage and La Monte Young. Eventually, they formed a group which they name The Velvet Underground.
The group used to performed in New York City. The group released hit albums and compilations. The group are still existing up to now as a New York based partnership, managing the financial and hack catalogue aspects for the band members.
