The Troggs is a Rock Band who issued numerous hit singles like their biggest hit, "Wild Thing" which made them one of the famous Punk Rock Band.

The Troggs were formed in 1964. Originally, the band is called, Troglodytes, which comprised of two members, "Dave Wright" and "Reginald Ball". A group called Ten Feet Five was composed of "Peter Staples" and "Chris Britton". At the suggestion of their respective managers, the two groups were emerged. Reginald became the lead vocalist. They renamed their group to The Troggs. Dave moved to another band called, The Loot and replaced by "Ronnie Bond".
In 1966, they signed a management contract with the manager of the popular band, The Kinks. They released their first single, "Lost Girl" which was not a hit. Their biggest break came when their next single, "Wild Thing" was released which chartered #1 at the U.S. Singles Chart and #2 at the UK Singles Chart. Their next single, "With A Girl Like You" was also a hit and landed #1 in the UK Singles Chart. Another hit single, "I Can't Control Myself" was released in September 1966 reaching #2 at the UK Singles Chart. These are all included in their debut album, From Nowhere The Troggs which was released in 1966.
Their next album, Cellophane was released in 1967 and features the hit singles, "Night of The Long Grass" and "Love is All Around". The band has produced more singles and albums like, Togglodynamite in 1967 and Mixed Bag in 1968 among others. In 1992, they released their last album, Athens and Over.
