[edit] About

The Slits were formed in 1976 by, "Ari Up" and "Palmolive". Ari was still 14 years old when he went into the house of her friend, Palmolive. It was Palmolive who suggested that they will formed a all girl duo and Ari will be their lead singer which was agreed at once by Ari. Their debut album, Cut was issued in 1979 under Island Records. In that same year, the duo became trio when "Budgie" joins the group. After two years, their second album, Return of The Giant Slits was formed. The trio was disbanded in 1981. Ari formed a new band, New Age Stoppers. After that, she went solo and released her solo album. In 2005, Ari reformed her former band, The Slits with "Tessa Pollitt". They released their EP, "Revenge of The Killer Slits" in 2006.
