[edit] About
Sex Pistols formed in London, England. Steve Jones (guitarist) and Paul Cook (drummer) met Glen Matlock (bassist) at a small shop. John Lloyd (vocalist) who would later be known as Johnny Rotten, met the trio at the boutique. Rotten sang about abortion, anarchy and violence. These resulted to the band being cut from their contract with EMI Records. In 1977, they released Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols. They toured in the U.S. In San Francisco, Rotten quit the band after the concert. McLaren made efforts to let the band move on but Jones and Cook turned their backs on him. There were years of demos, repackagings and changing labels one after another for the Sex Pistols. In 1996, Sex Pistols reconciled and celebrated their 20th anniversary. They went on tour and released an album, Filthy Lucre Live. Followed by Julien Temple four years later.
