They are one of the popular rock bands in the 90’s; The Jayhawks rose to fame via their album, Blue Earth.

The Jayhawks was formed in Minnesota in 1985 which were composed of Mark frOlson for acoustic guitar and vocals, Gary Louris for electric guitar and vocals, Marc Perlman for bass and Thad Spencer for drums.
Their self-title debut album was released in 1986 under Bunkhouse Records. Blue Earth was their follow up album. After the released, Thad left the group and was replaced by Ken Callahan. In 1992, their major hit album, Hollywood town Hall was released under Def American.
Ken left the band in 1995. They released another album, Sound of Lies in 1997. Smile was released in 2000. Their last album, Rainy Day Music was released in 2003
