The Information is the latest and 7th major record album released by indie rocker Beck. The smart combination of styles of funk-rock, hip-hop and acoustics took the hearts of his fans. He switches from extremely lengthed track The Horrible/Landslide/Exoskeleton to mellow tracks such as Stange Apparition and pseudo-rock Think I'm in Love.

About

Latest release of eccentric indie rock artist Beck entitled The Information is said to be a return of style from his previous albums since Beck started to develop it before actually starting out with Guero.

Released in October 03, 2006 under Interscope Records, this 2-disc album receives much praise due to the creative use of different styles and sounds including electronic, piano and acoustic sounds, then putting it together in one album. Though it can be noticed that previous Beck albums somehow sounded better, the basic Beck-instinct in his music, with a bit of unsureness makes this album a unique, original album on its own.

It also comes with a DVD that shows both homemade and studio-recorded music videos of the songs--when you'd rather see him than just listen to him sing.
