The Hives is one of the trendiest garage rock band from Sweden. The band has three studio albums Barely Legal, Veni Vidi Vicious and Tyrannosaurus Hives. Their hit song is "Hate To Say I Told You So".

Punk and indio-rock The Hives started out playing in their garage. In 1993, Nicholaus Arson, Chris Dangerous, Dr. Matt Destruction, Vigilante Carlstroem, and Howlin' Pelle Almqvist formed a band in Fagersta, Sweden. In 1995, they signed in with Burning Heart label releasing their debut Oh Lord! When? How?. In 1997, a full-length album was made called Barely Legal and toured in the U.S. In 2000, Veni Vidi Vicious was issued with the hit single Hate to Say I Told You So" and "Main Offender".
Switching labes, Gearhead Records re-released Barely Legal, A.K.A. I-D-I-O-T, and Hate to Say I Told You So which resulted them to more tours. The re-release of their album made them to the top ten of Your New Favourite Band. When the band returned to U.S to have another tour. In 2003, The Hives was busy recording in the studio. The following year they returned with Tyrannosaurus Hives.
