About
Rapper The Game (Jayceon Taylor) was born in Compton, California on Novermber 29, 1979. Both his parents were members of the Crip. At a young age he could see his parents preparing before doing drive-bys. During his childhood he was already exposed to guns and drugs. At the very young age of 6 years old, Game witnessed his very first murder in his neighborhood for clothing and shoes. The following year he entered in a foster care. Although he was always teased by other children, Game would still help his foster brothers and sisters in their homeworks. He met his idol, Eazy-E, in 1989. That acquaintance made Game work hard. When he went back home to his mother Game attended Compton High School and landed a spot on the basketball team. His talents in basketball got him a scholarship. Game attended Washington State University but later on his scholarship was removed. He and his brother, Big Fase, entered in the drug trade business. They were shot in their apartment and Game was in a coma for two days. Music helped him get through his recovery. When he was out of the hospital he made mixtapes. It landed in the hands of P. Diddy and Dr. Dre who offered him a deal in 2002. Dr. Dre taught him what runs in the studio. He chose the name The Game, the nickname his grandmother gave him.
The Game appeared in videos like “Wanna Get To Know You” and “In Da Club”. In 2003, Game’s son, Harlem Caron Taylor, was born. The single “How We Do” featuring 50 Cent was a huge hit. In 2005, Games long awaited albu, The Documentary, was issued. It sold over 586,000 copies in its first week of release. He went on an extensive tour with Snoop Dogg. During the tour, Snoop’s entourage and Game beat up a man and the video spread all over the net. His diamond earrings were ripped from off from his ear and his wallet was stolen. Currently, Game is in the studio for his follow-up issue.
