[edit] About
The Futureheads was formed by "Barry Hyde" on vocals and guitar, "Jeff" on bass and "Peter Brewis" on drums. Barry and Peter were tutors at a lottery-funded organization called the Sunderland City Detached Youth Project, which aimed to get kids off the street by having them play music instead. Afterwards, "Ross Millard" who also worked at the organization joined the band and Barry's younger brother replaced Barry, who went to join fellow east rockers, Field Music.
Their self-titled debut album was released in 2004 with the single, "Decent Days and Nights". In 2005, another single, "Hounds of Love" was released and reached #8 at UK Singles Chart in its first week. It was named best single of 2005 by NME. Their second album, News and Tributes was released in 2006. It was reported last June 2007 at their website that they have already completed their album, which is expected to be out early 2008.
