The Flying Burrito Brothers was an early Country rock band. Their best released album was The Gilded Palace of Sin. The band helped forged the connection between rock and country.

The Flying Burrito Brothers were a group of Los Angeles Musicians who gathered together to jam. There founding members were Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman joined by Chris Ethridge and Pete Kleinow.
The groups first album was The Gilded Palace of Sin which was released in 1969. The album sold only 40,000 copies. Before they released their second album, Chris left the band and was replaced by Bernie Leadon and they also hired Michael Clarke as their permanent drummer.
Their second album was released in 1970. After the released, Gram left the band and was replaced by Rick Robers. a local Californian songwriter.
In 1971, their self-titled album was released. After the released Pete and Bernie left the band and were replaced by Al Perkins and Roger Bush, they also added Kenny Wertz to be their guitarist and Byrone Berline.In 1972, the members decided to parted ways. In 1975, a new version of The Flying Brothers were formed by Pete and Chris. The duo recruited Floyd Gilbeau and Scott Hill, they also got Gene Parsons. They released their album Flying Again on that same year. Chris left the group after the released of the said album. He was replaced by Skip Battin.
In 1988, the group split a part again, although they reunite occasionally for tours. Gram Parsons died on September 19, 1973. Pete died last January 6, 2007.
