About

At 8 years, Amanda was given fretted dulcimer lessons by her mom in Topanga. On the other hand, Abby lives in California, learns the piano, and is overly-exposed to classical music. During her early teens, Amanda performed with her mom's british isle's duo, and at 17 she moved to Europe to be a model. Abby grows fondness to ragtime music and electric blues. They lived miles away, but still ended up meeting each other in New York.

The Ditty Bops and their sweet, charming tune were formed when Amanda and Abby searched for their lost cat and stumbled into the backyard of a musician. They got the idea of forming a band from that man that urged them to create a band.

The newly-formed band once experienced playing the 20's covers and that theme just caught them! They were inspired by that performance, wearing wigs and period costumes. The band landed a contract with Warner Bros during a live performance in L.A.

Reviews

  • They have that very relaxing, retro style that can be seen not only in their costumes but can be heard and felt through their songs. They may not be overly popular, but their songs leave a peaceful tone in every listener's heart. Their songs reflect that they enjoy life, even if it gets tough or hard, and the world needs that kind of inspiration. -Vheliefish 05:26, 20 November 2006 (PST)
