The Delgados is an Indie Rock band who rose to fame via their debut album, Domestiques.

The Delgados first made music when they were still young by childhood friends Alun Woodward on vocals, Stewart Henderson on bass and Paul Savage On drums and Emma Pollock on vocals. The group formed their own label, Chemikal Underground and issued their first single, "Monica Webster" in February 1995. Their second single release was "Disco Nation" in the same year. Their other singles, "Cinecentre", "Under Canvas Under Wraps" were released in 1996. These are all included in the bands debut album, Domestiques which was released in October 1996.
After two years, the band released their second album, Peloton in 1998 with its single "Pull The Wires From The Wall" which won the number one spot on Peel's annual "Festive Fifty" countdown. Their third album, The Great Eastern was released in 2000 the said single, "American Trilogy" landed at number 61 in the UK Charts.
In 2002, they released their next album, [Hate] was released with its single, "The Light Before We Land". [Universal Audio] is the band's final album before they decided to split up in April 2005. Though the band's existence was just swift, the friendship and their music will forever stay in their fans' hearts.
