The Datsuns is a hard rock band from New Zealand. It's band members are Dolf de Borst (vocals/bass), Phil Buscke (guitar), Christian Livingstone (guitar) and Matt Osment (drums).

The Datsuns came to be in 2000 in Cambridge, New Zealand. The band members, Dolf de Borst (vocals/bass), Phil Buscke (guitar), Christian Livingstone (guitar) and Matt Osment (drums), met in school and called themselves Trinket in 1997. The band joined and conquered a radio station competition, Battle of the Bands, twice as the Trinket and Datsuns the following year. They released only a number of singles under Hell Squad Records which they owned. It was in 2001 when things began, they had gigs in London and a number of record labels were battling to sign them in.
It was V2 label that sealed the deal with The_Datsuns in 2002. Not long after, their self-titled debut album was issued followed by Outta Sight/Outta Mind in 2004 and Smoke & Mirrors two years after.

- They entered and won the 1999 89FM Battle of the Bands competition.
- The band went on New Zealand tour with Shihad during the Christmas/New Year's period 2006/07.
