The Blitz Cartel are an alternative-indie punk band from Oxford, England. Members met through answering advertisements, replies were a result of intriguing unconventional requirements stated in the adverts. Of which these included members must speak 47 different languages and have life guard qualifications.
The Blitz Cartel released their first demo In 2006 to mix reviews, the 2007 follow up classically impaired demo was more well received winning BBC radio oxford demo of the week and a support slot with Stiff Little Fingers.
The band are currently surrounded with rumors of record label interest and are due to release their first EP in 2008.
