About
The band gained much attention when their songs ended up in the Mandy Moore/Shane West drama, A Walk To Remember'. The songs Meant To Live and Dare You To Move were perfect tracks for the movie, all dealing with emotions and love. After gaining popularity, the album was certified 2x Platinum in 2003.
The album boasts of eleven impressive tracks, where the three released singles ("Dare You to Move," "Meant to Live," and "This is Your Life") all reached Top 40. The album also won the 2003 San Diego Music Awards' Album of the Year.
This album introduced the band's updated line-up from a trio composed of Jon Foreman on guitar and vocals, brother Tim Foreman on bass and drummer Chad Butler to a rocking quartet adding Jerome Fontamillas on keyboards. The band's gotten-better-looks also became evident in this album. Their music videos show how they've imbibed the whole alternative rock style-- a good step for the band's mainstream progression.
In June 2004, Columbia Records re-released the album with a bonus DVD. The DVD include music videos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes from the band's tours and concerts.
