Tevin Campbell is one of the most successful African R&B artist in the 90's. His first big hit single "Round and Round" peanked no.5 on the R&B charts.

About

Tevin Jermod Campbell was born on November 12, 1976 in Dallas Texas, U.S.A. At the age of 11 years old Campbell appeared on Quincy Jones’ Back on the Block album. Afterwards, he appeared on Prince’s “Round and Round” which again became a hit. In 1991, Campbell worked with Boyz In The Hood’s “Just Ask Me To”. It entered the Top 10 R&B hits.

Later that year, the young singer released his debut album, T.E.V.I.N., which climbed the R&B charts and went platinum. The singles “Alone with You” and “Tell Me What You Want Me to Do” was in the top five of the R&B charts. The 1993 album, I’m Ready, went double platinum with the hit single “Can We Talk”. In 1996, Campbell issued his third album, Back To The World. It was followed by 1999’s self titled album which had disappointing sales.
