Ten is Pearl Jam's first ever album released on August 27, 1991 through Epic Records. Having been certified 12x Platinum by the RIAA, it is one of the best selling rock albums in the world giving the band a claim to instant fame.

During the 2006 survey of Q magazine and 2003 survey of VH1 TV Network, Ten ranked 59th and 79th among the greatest albums of all time.In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine's placed it on the 207th list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
Among the songs contained in the album, "Jeremy" is to be considered a hit for winning four video music awards, including Video of the Year and Best Group Video. All in all, Ten is a sad album
dealing with depression, suicide, loneliness and murder.
"Once" and "Why Go" have been airplay favorites while "Release", has ironically become one of the band's most popular concert openers.
