Teairra Mari is an American R&B singer from Detroit, Michigan. She is best known for her 2005 hits "Make Her Feel Good" and "No Daddy".

About
Early Career
Teairra Maria Thomas also known as Teairra Mari was born on December 2, 1987 in Detroit, Michigan. At 12, she began recording demo copies at ther cousin's place in Michigan and soon was discovered by K.I.S.S. Productions. Since then, she wasted no time and spent every free time working in the studio with producers and songwriters like Disco D, Big Mike and Helluvah.
The music label then arranged for her to collaborate with famous artist such as Jay-Z, J-Kwon, and Ray J where she gained some popularity and established some fans base that led to released her debut LP called "Get Away". It became an instant hit in the local arena. She honed her skills more by going back to highschool and performed in many of the local talent shows.
Major Career
After spending a few years in K.I.S.S., the label felt that Mari was ready for a major career. So executive Big Mike introduced her to Daryl Simmons in Atlanta. Simmons then gave a copy to Def Jam executive L.A. Reid where they were impressed of the record. She was immediately offered a contract right then and started recording her debut single "Make Her Feel Good" which became a huge hit in the recording charts. After, she released her debut album on 2005 Roc-A-Fella Presents: Teairra Mari which sold 69,000 copies on its first week. The success was followed by her second single "No Daddy" which then failed to climbed up the charts.
Currently, Teairra Mari is working on for the released on her second album by Spring 2009.
