Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989 in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Since childhood, she has already musical influences. Her grandmother was a professional Opera singer. At the age of ten, she began to sing at karaoke contests, festivals and fairs. When she was eleven years old, she sang the national anthem at a Philadelphia 76ers game. She started playing guitar and composing a song when she was twelve years old.

In 2003, the family decided to move in Nashville. While performing at a showcase at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe, she caught the attention of music industry veteran Scott Borchetta. She signed a recording contract with Big Machine Record owned by Scott.

Taylor released her self-titled debut album in 2006. Her single "Tim McGraw" became an instant hit in the U.S. Country charts. She appeared in the 2006 Academy of Music Awards. She sang the national anthem at the November 12, 2006 NASCAR race and at the November 23, 2006 Thanksgiving Day football game between the Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions. She also performed recently at halftime break of Pittsburgh Steelers game.
