Tatyana Ali is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Ashley on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. In the music world, she is known for her R&B album Kiss the Sky.

Born on January 24, 1979 in North Bellmore, New York to Carribean parents. Her father, Sheriff, is of Indo-Trinidadian descent and her mother, Sonia, is an Afro-Panamanian of West Indian ancestry. Ali started her music career at the age of 4 and appeared on Star Search at 7. Her big break came when she was cast on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alongside rapper/actor Will Smith. Tatyana Ali was offered numerous record deals after performing on various episodes of Fresh Prince. In 1998, her first single, "Daydreaming," hit radio and became a Top 10 R&B/pop crossover hit. It was followed by her debut album, Kiss the Sky, the same year. Her other singles include the Light hip-hop ballad, "Boy You Knock Me Out," and the "Everytime," which showcases her vocal ability.
