Tapestry is definitely Carole King's album that has put her into superstar status. It was issued in 1971 that earned her four Grammy Awards to inlude Record of the Year (It's Too Late), Album of the Year, Song of the Year (You've Got A Friend) and Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female.

This album spent more than 300 weeks on the US charts, sold over 10 million copies in the US alone and has been sold for over 22 million copies worldwide. Regarded as her best-selling album to date and placed at #36 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of all time.
