Tanya Stephens is one of the most influential reggae artist to come out in the late 1990's. She is known for her hits "Yuh Nuh Ready fi Dis Yet" and "It's a Pity" where both made Tanya be recognized internationally.

About
Early Life
Vivienne Stephenson better known professionally as Tanya Stephens was born on July 2, 1973 in Kingston, Jamaica. She was the sixth of seven siblings in her family. She credits her musical influences at home where she came from a family who loves music. In their homes people would listen to a mixed bag of music including of that of Smoky Robinson and Buddy Holly. As a kid, singing on the mic at local sound system dances completed her musical education.
Musical Career
In the late 1990's she emerged to become one of the most promising reggae artist in the era. Her break came on 1996 after releasing her first single "Yuh Nuh Ready fi Dis Yet" which was made part of the Reggae Gold 1997 compilation. On 1997, she released her first full length album entitled "Too Hype" which was followed by "Ruff Rider" on 1998. Her latest work is the 2006 released of her album Rebelution.
