Talib Kweli is a famous American rapper who was a former member of the famous Rapper band, Black Star. He rose to fame as a solo artist via his debut album, Quality.

About

Talib Kweli or "Talib Kweli Greene" in real life was born on October 3, 1975 at Brooklyn, New York City. Talib is the eldest of two sons born to parents who were both educators. He began writing plays, poetry and short stories since his elementary days. He met Mos Def in high school and soon formed a group called, Back Star with another rapper, DJ Hi-Tek. The band has released their self-titled debut album in 1998. After the released, Mos went solo. The remaining two members continued to do album.


After four years, Talib went solo and released his debut album, Quality in 2002. His next solo album, The Beautiful Struggle was released in 2004, which features his own composition. His latest album, Eardrum was released last August 21, 2007. It issued the single, "Listen!!!" which was featured in the EA Sports video game NBA Live 07.
