Taio Cruz was born on April 23, 1983 in London, England.
He is the founder and C.E.O. of record label, Rokstarr Music London, and is currently signed within a joint-venture partnership deal with UMusic Companies, Republic Records and Island Records.
As a producer/writer/performer he has worked with and written for numerous artists, producers and writers, including, in the US, Mýa, Usher, Britney Spears, Red Zone, Dallas Austin, Shae Taylor, Rich Harrison and Jazze Pha, and in the UK, Omar, Nitin Sawhney, Wookie and Will Young. The song "Your Game", written by Taio for Will Young, went multi-platinum and won Best British Single at the Brit Awards.
His most notable success has come from his debut solo single "I Just Wanna Know" which was released on November 6, 2006, and reached a number 29 on the UK Singles Charts. However, his second single, "Moving On" number 26 on the UK Singles Charts. His third single is called "Come On Girl" to be released on March 3, 2008. His debut album is set for UK release on March 17, 2008.
