About

Released on November, 09, 1999 under Columbia Records, Sweet Kisses positions Jessica Simpson as the teen Celine Dion. Sure, she jives so well in the dance-pop genre where in her album alson lies in adult contemporary ballads like her breakout hit "I Wanna Love You Forever" which gives her the chance to show the richness of her voice just like her idol, Celine Dion. The album title who happens also to be Jessica's single, made its highest peak position in the Billboard 200 at No. 25 spot on August 05, 2000. However, like most teen-pop albums, Sweet Kisses suffered from inconsistent material, yet the filler is well-produced and performed. As a matter of fact, Simpson proves with this debut that she could very well be a teen popster that could easily make the transition to adult artist.
