Surrender was released on March 15, 1995 via Elektra and Asylum where it was heavily produced by Keith Sweat. Though the album did not make any significant impact, it released three singles "Surrender", "Lovely Thang", and "I Like" which managed to reach #8 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks Chart.
