Supertramp are a popular British Progressive Rock Band. They released several hit albums including the blockbuster one, Breakfast in America.

Supertramp was formed in 1969 by, "Stanley August Miesegaes" on vocals and pianist and "Rick Davies" on drums. They put an ads in a newspaper called "Melody Maker" stating that they are looking for a band members. Luckily, the persons who passed the audition and join the band were, "Roger Hudson", "Richard Palmer" and "Robert Miller". The band was originally called "Daddy" from 1969 until January 1970. After that they changed their named to Supertramp.
They signed a recording contract under A&M Records. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1970. In June 1971, their album, Indelibly Stamped was released. After the released, Robert and Richard left the band and was replaced by, "Frank Farell", "Kevin Currie" and "Dave Winthrop". In the later part of 1972, Roger and Rick look for a new members. Luckily they added "Dougie Thomson" and "Campbell Thomson" in the line up. New set of members were added in the group in 1973 namely, "Bob Sienberg". and "John Helliwell".
In 1974, their album, Crime of The Century was released. In November 1975, their next album, Crisis? What Crisis was released. Their biggest album, Breakfast in America was issued in 1979 which landed at #3 on UK Charts and #1 on the US Album Chart. It features the hit singles, "The Logical Song" and "Breakfast in America". The album sold 18 million copies worldwide.
Roger left the band in 1982. Roger went solo. The groups next album released was entitled, Brother Where You Bound and features the single, "Cannonball". The album chartered at #21 on The US Charts. Their next album, Free As A Bird was issued in 1987. Campbell left the band after the 1987 Concert tour. In 1997, the group were reunited buut Campbell declined their invitation to joined their reunion concert tours. In 2002, their album, Slow Motion was released.
