Stevie Nicks is an American singer and songwriter who rose to fame as a solo artist and a member of the popular band, Fleetwood Mac. One of her solo album released is Bella Donna.

Stevie Nicks or Stephanie Lynn Nicks in real life was born on May 26, 1948 in Phoenix, Arizona to Jess and Barbara Nicks. She started singing at the age of four. When Stevie was in her teenage years, she started to composed a songs and joined a group called, The Changing Times while studying high school in California.


When Stevie was in fourth year, she and another fellow student Lindsey Buckingham whom she met formed a band called Frito with Javier Pacheco and Calvin Roper. The band became popular in the late 60's until early 70's. After a few years, the band was disbanded. However, Lindsay and Stevie remained as partner.


The duo went to Los Angeles and recorded their debut album, Buckingham-Nicks in 1973. In 1974, Stevie and Lindsay joined Fleetwood Mac. In 1981, she Stevie released her solo album Bella Donna that reached number one on album charts. Her next follow up solo album, Mirage features her hit single, Gypsy. However, Stevie remained as a member of Fleetwood Mac until 1993. She rejoined the group in 1998. Stevie is one of the few rock artists to maintain a solo career while remaining a member of a successful band.
