Stereolab are popular American Indie Rock Band formed in the earl 90's and still existing up to this time. They spawned several hit albums including, Emperor Tomato Ketchup.

About

Stereolab was formed in 1990 at London, England by "Tim Gane" on guitar, "Laetitia Sadier" on keyboards. Tim was born on July 12, 1964. He was the leaded of the group called, "McCarthy". He met Laetitia at one of the concert of McCarthy. The group was disbanded in 1990. After that the two decided to formed a new band name, Stereolab. Their debut album, Peng! was released in 1992. It features the single, "John Cage Bubblegum". In that same year, "Mary Hansen" and Andy Ramsay" was added in the line up.


Their next album, ransient Random-Noise Bursts with Announcements was issued in 1993 under Elektra Records. The album is a big hit. The group became an underground and college hit throughout U.S. and U.K. Their next album, Mars Audiac Quantet was released in August 1994. The hit album, Emperor Tomato Ketchup was issued in April 1996 under Elektra Records and chartered at #27 on Top Heatseekers. In 1997, Dots and Loops was released and chartered at #2 on Top Heatseekers.


Their next album, Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night was released in 1999. It landed at #8 on Top Heatseekers. Other albums issued was Sound Dust in 2001, Margarine Eclipse in 2004 and Chemical Chords which was due to be released this August 2008.
