The singer behind the hit theme song, "It Might Be You", Stephen Bishop became a popular American singer, Composer and guitarist. One of his hit albums that he released was, Bowling in Paris.

About
Stephen Bishop was born on November 14, 1951 at San Diego, California. At the age of 13 years old, Stephen found himself at a crossroads. He hopes to become a History Teacher. His mind was changed after he watched, The Beatles performed on night on "the Ed Sullivan Show". He asked his brother to buy him an electric guitar. Stephen bought a chordbook and started to practice playing a guitar and make up chords as well. After that, he composed his first song, "Surf's Turf". He also sang the hit theme song, "It Might Be You" from the movie "Tootsie" that made him popular not only in the United States but also worldwide.
Stephen formed a band named, The Weeds and began to perform at local fraternity parties including his own original songs. His band won 2nd place at the Claremont Battle of The Bands. He told to the judges that someday, "Stephen Bishop is going to be a big songwriter someday". Through to what he said, he went to Los Angeles and walked to the streets, played his guitar. He sent some demo tapes to various publishers in Hollywood. When Art Garfunkel heard Stephen's song, he recorded the song "Breakaway".
Stephen began to write songs for, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler and Diana Ross among others. He signed a recording contract under ABC Records and released his debut album, Careless in 1976. It spawned two hit singles, "Save if For A Rainy Day" and "On and On" His next album, Bish was released in 1978.
So far, Stephen has done 7 studio albums such as, Red Cab to Manhattan in 1980, Sleeping with Girls in 1986, Bowling in Paris in 1989, lue Guitars in 1996 and Yardwork in 2003.
