About
Spragga Benz was born on May 30, 1969 in Kingston, Jamaica. He was fondly called "Spaghetti" because of his slim built and later this name evolved into Spragga. Before he landed the music scene, he was first worked as a disc selector for the L.A. Benz sound system. In 1992, he tried his hand at toasting on a dare from Buju Banton, who wants B sides for some duplicates he was cutting for the sound system. Spragga tossed off some lyrics off the top of his head, gaining an overwhelming response from the audience. Soon, he started to cut two A-sides of his own entitled "Love Mi Gun" and "Jack it Up". Both of the songs were hits, sooner many labels and producers wanted his service.
In the next two years, Spragga released his singles, "Hand Inna Da Air"; "No Cater"; "Who Next"; and "Swear". These are included on his first album, Jack it Up which was released in 1994. His second album, Uncommonly Smooth was released the following year. His third album, Fully Loaded was released in 2000 which also featured duets with [Lady Saw] and [Foxy Brown]. His latest release was entitled [Thug Nature] which was released in 2002.
