Spirit was released on December 11, 2007 under BMG Import. The album became no.1 in Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand and Germany. The album became the best selling album in U.K by a female artist. The hit single in the album "Bleeding Love" became no.1 in several countries. Other tracks in the album are "Better in Time" which hit no.2 on the UK Singles Chart.
