Spineshank is a quartet of American Nu Metal band formed on 1996.

About
Biography
Formed on 1996 with members Jonny Santos, Mike Sarkisyan, and Tom Decker, Spineshank. They added Robert Garcia to their line-up upon hearing him sing. Sooner, the band met Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares and upon hearing their demo tape offered them to open their concert held in Los Angeles.
Their performance has garnered interest from several record lables and eventually signed with Roadrunner. The label released their debut album Strictly Diesel on September 22, 1998. Their second album The Height of Callousness was released on Octoeber 10, 2000 which had a very strong industrial metal influence.
On 2003, Self-Destructive Pattern was released and the band was nominated for a Grammy in the Category for Best Metal Performance for lead single "Smoothered".
Departure of Santos
On 2004, the band announced the departure of Sanos. And launched a nationwide search for a new voalist. After almost two years of searching about late 2005, they announced that they had found a new vocalist in Brandon Espinoza.
Santos stated that he left due to musical differences and is currently in the studio tracking demos for an unnamed project.

- To promote the album Height of Callousness' release, the band was featured at Ozzfest 2001, and toured with such artists as Disturbed, (həd) p.e., Orgy and Mudvayne.
