Sparta is an American Alternative Rock Band who rose to fame via their album, Wiretap Scars.

Sparta was formed in 2001. The band comprised of "Tony Hajjar" and "Paul Hinojos" with "Jim Ward" as the lead vocalist. The band signed a recording contract under Dreamworks in 2001. Their debut album, Wiretap Scars was released in 2002. It chartered #35 on US Mainstream Rock Albums Chart. Their second album, Porcelain was issued in August 2004 and features the single, "Travel By Bloodline". In 2006, they signed a recording contract under Hollywood Records. In that same year, they released their album, Threes. The album contains the singles, "Taking Back Control" and "Erase it Again". The album landed at #25 on US Modern Rock Albums Chart and #24 on US Mainstream Rock Albums Chart. As of now, the band is in hiatus.
